Insurance Reimbursement Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Insurance Reimbursement Specialist I.

Key Responsibilities

• Submit technical and professional claims to insurance companies and government agencies
• Coordinate with various departments to resolve billing and reimbursement issues
• Research and resolve unbillable claims while supporting Accounts Receivable Collections

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; Billing Specialist Certification or Associate's degree preferred
• 3 years of experience in a hospital or medical office with knowledge of payer types
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with 1500 or UB billing forms
• Familiarity with medical terminology and ability to navigate payer websites
• Competence in Microsoft Office software, including Excel and Word
