Job Summary

To support a dynamic healthcare environment, the remote Insurance Specialist will manage patient insurance verification, coordinate pre-certifications, and maintain accurate documentation while ensuring compliance with insurance guidelines.

Key responsibilities
  • Monitors patient work queues for verification needs and coordinates with relevant departments for pre-certification and insurance benefits
  • Pre-registers patient cases by entering accurate information into the billing system and verifies insurance coverage and eligibility
  • Documents all pertinent information and interactions in compliance with departmental standards and HIPAA guidelines
Required qualifications
  • High School diploma
  • 2 years of benefit verification/authorization experience or equivalent
  • 1 year of customer service experience
  • 2 years of clinical/medical precertification/authorization experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and desktop equipment
