Job Summary
A company is looking for a Staff Statutory Accountant to manage statutory reporting and compliance in a growing insurance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file statutory financial statements in compliance with SAP, GAAP, and state regulations
- Support quarterly and annual regulatory filings and perform monthly account reconciliations
- Partner with audit teams to ensure timely and accurate statutory audits
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the insurance industry
- Proficiency with accounting systems and strong Excel skills
- Familiarity with Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) and insurance regulatory requirements is a plus
- CPA or equivalent professional designation is a bonus
