Job Summary

Insurance Underwriting Consultant underwrites complex individual insurance applications on a full-time basis, evaluating insurability and making final underwriting decisions while ensuring compliance with established guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrites complex individual insurance applications and makes final decisions within specified limits
• Trains and mentors less experienced team members while conducting quality audits on underwriters
• Ensures high customer satisfaction by collaborating with financial associates and handling complex communications

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Minimum of 6 years of individual holistic underwriting experience in the insurance industry
• Strong customer and team focus
• Broad understanding of the financial services industry and underwriting practices
• Familiarity with reinsurance and contract law
