Job Summary
A company is looking for a Coordinator, Insurance Verification.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility, and document coverage restrictions
- Obtain referrals or authorizations from primary care offices or insurance companies
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve insurance issues and index incoming records/referrals
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Certificate from College or Technical School preferred
- 2 - 3 years' minimum experience in medical or related field required
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Knowledge of health insurance industry practices and/or medical billing procedures
- Computer literacy required, experience with medical scheduling/billing systems is preferred
