Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coordinator, Insurance Verification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility, and document coverage restrictions
  • Obtain referrals or authorizations from primary care offices or insurance companies
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve insurance issues and index incoming records/referrals
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Certificate from College or Technical School preferred
  • 2 - 3 years' minimum experience in medical or related field required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Knowledge of health insurance industry practices and/or medical billing procedures
  • Computer literacy required, experience with medical scheduling/billing systems is preferred
