Insurance Verification Representative

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare team, the full-time Associate Insurance Verification Representative will verify patient insurance information, obtain authorizations, and communicate financial responsibilities while working Monday to Friday during flexible hours between 7am - 6pm EST.

Key responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance eligibility and document findings in the patient accounting system
• Obtain necessary authorizations from insurance companies and ensure accurate information is entered into the system
• Calculate and communicate co-pays and estimated co-insurance amounts to patients based on individual payer contracts

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Strong customer service experience required
• Previous healthcare insurance verification experience is required
• Familiarity with calculating co-insurance, co-pays, and out-of-pocket costs
• Previous experience obtaining pre-certification is preferred
