Insurance Verification Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Per Diem Insurance Verification Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify insurance requirements and process referrals requiring authorization
• Initiate contact with payers to complete insurance verification and ensure timely authorizations
• Document authorization-related information in the EMR to support continuity of care

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1+ years of experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or patient registration
• 1+ years of experience with health insurance plans including Medicare and Medicaid
• 1+ years of experience working with an EMR system
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products
