Insurance Verification Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a PFS Insurance Specialist I to manage insurance verifications and authorizations for genetic testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage benefits and determine patient out-of-pocket costs for genetic testing
• Process authorization requests and follow up on their statuses with insurance providers
• Coordinate with vendors and report issues related to insurance verifications and denied authorizations

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience
• 1+ years of experience in a clinical laboratory, preferably in genetic billing
• 1+ years of experience in obtaining prior authorizations
• Knowledge of CPT codes, medical terminology, and ICD-10 codes
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment
