Insurance Verification Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Insurance Verification Authorization Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete pre-registrations by verifying insurance information and validating referrals and prior authorizations
• Provide price estimates for healthcare services and identify financial resources for those services
• Communicate issues related to Advance Beneficiary Notices and resolve pre-service authorization denials with referring providers

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• One (1) year of post high school business or college course work preferred
• National Association of Healthcare Access Management Certification preferred
• Minimum one (1) year experience in a customer service role preferred
• Medical Terminology proficiency by exam and one year of admitting, billing, or registration experience in a healthcare setting, or equivalent educational background
• AA Degree and six months healthcare experience acceptable
