Job Summary

A company is looking for an Insurance Verification & Authorization Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct insurance verification and obtain prior authorizations for home health services
  • Maintain accurate insurance and authorization information in the HCHB system
  • Collaborate with staff to resolve authorization-related issues and ensure compliance with regulations
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in home health authorization/eligibility processes
  • Proficiency in Homecare Homebase (HCHB) strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of Medicare and commercial insurance guidelines
  • Experience navigating payer websites/portals
