Job Summary
A company is looking for an Insurance Verification & Authorization Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct insurance verification and obtain prior authorizations for home health services
- Maintain accurate insurance and authorization information in the HCHB system
- Collaborate with staff to resolve authorization-related issues and ensure compliance with regulations
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in home health authorization/eligibility processes
- Proficiency in Homecare Homebase (HCHB) strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of Medicare and commercial insurance guidelines
- Experience navigating payer websites/portals
