Insurance Verification Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Insurance Verification Specialist to obtain and verify insurance information and coordinate benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify insurance eligibility and document information in the system
• Perform prior authorizations and procure necessary documentation from physician offices and insurance companies
• Handle inbound calls and resolve claim rejections related to eligibility and coverage issues

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma with 1+ years of medical billing or insurance verification experience
• Bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for experience
• Experience with payors and prior authorization preferred
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship
• Able to work remotely Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM CST
