Job Summary
A company is looking for an Insurance Verification Specialist 2 (Authorization Specialist).
Key Responsibilities
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for patient accounts, ensuring timely financial clearance
- Complete necessary payor forms and coordinate clinical documentation submission for authorizations
- Interpret complex payer coverage information and assist with workflow management for optimal department results
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- 2 years of healthcare or customer service experience or education equivalency
- Ability to meet performance standards of production, accuracy, and quality
- Understanding of payer guidelines by plan and service type
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
