Job Summary
To support a positive patient experience, the full-time remote Insurance Verification Specialist will register patients, verify insurance eligibility and coverage with payors, and document relevant information in the system while collaborating with ambulatory surgical centers and internal teams.
Key responsibilities
- Obtain and review demographic and insurance information from patients and healthcare facilities
- Register patients and verify their insurance coverage with appropriate payors
- Communicate patient financial responsibilities and collect payments when applicable
Required qualifications
- Experience in medical office insurance verification
- Proficiency in using computers and Windows-driven software
- Cooperative work attitude towards colleagues and clients
- Ability to promote a favorable company image
- Problem-solving skills related to assigned tasks
