Job Summary

To ensure timely insurance verification and financial clearance, the full-time hybrid Insurance Verification Specialist 2 will provide insurance benefit information to patients and healthcare staff, manage complex issues, and oversee workflow for optimal departmental results.

Key responsibilities
  • Perform financial clearance by verifying insurance eligibility and benefits, ensuring timely notifications and authorizations
  • Coordinate the submission of clinical documentation for payer authorization needs and calculate patient financial responsibility
  • Assist co-workers and facility customers with complex questions while documenting processes according to guidelines for accurate reimbursement
Required qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in healthcare or customer service
  • Ability to understand payer guidelines by plan and service type
  • Excellent data entry and computer navigational skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in stressful environments
