Job Summary

To support the financial health of the organization, the remote Insurance Verification Specialist will be responsible for the accurate and timely verification of insurance and benefits information for patients, ensuring financial clearance prior to service while maintaining accurate patient demographics and insurance data.

Key responsibilities:
  • Utilize online systems and communication to determine patient eligibility and benefits before appointments
  • Verify medical necessity in accordance with CMS standards and communicate coverage details to patients
  • Coordinate benefits by determining primary and secondary liability and obtain necessary pre-certifications from third-party payers
Required qualifications:
  • One year of customer service experience preferred
  • Experience in insurance verification or healthcare preferred
  • Degree in healthcare administration or a related field preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of English (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Experience supporting Windows systems required
