Job Summary
Working onsite in Tempe, Arizona, the full-time Insurance Verification Specialist will assist patients in accessing necessary medications by verifying insurance benefits, conducting benefit investigations, and supporting healthcare providers with prior authorizations and reimbursement issues.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct benefit investigations by contacting payers to verify patient insurance coverage and navigate reimbursement barriers
- Document and initiate the prior authorization process and claims appeals while ensuring compliance with company standards
- Act as a liaison between healthcare providers, field representatives, and patients to facilitate access to medications
Required qualifications
- In-depth understanding and experience with Major Medical & Pharmacy Benefit Coverage
- 2 to 3 years of experience in benefit investigation and analysis of insurance coverage
- 2 to 3 years of experience interacting with healthcare providers regarding health insurance plan requirements
- Salesforce system experience preferred
