Job Summary

To support efficient patient care, the full-time Insurance Verification Specialist will manage insurance verification, authorization processes, and financial orientations while ensuring compliance with healthcare guidelines.

Key responsibilities
  • Verify patient insurance information and eligibility, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies
  • Obtain necessary authorizations from insurance companies and enter relevant details into the patient accounting system
  • Calculate patient financial responsibilities, including co-pays and co-insurance, and communicate financial policies effectively
Required qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Strong customer service experience required
  • Previous healthcare insurance verification experience is required
  • Familiarity with calculating co-insurance, co-pays, and out-of-pocket costs
  • Previous experience obtaining pre-certification is preferred
