Insurance Verification Specialist

Job Summary

Verifying patient insurance coverage and benefit information, the full-time Insurance Verification Specialist will obtain authorizations from insurance carriers, document patient data in the EMR, and handle inquiries in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage and obtain referrals or authorizations from primary care physicians and insurance companies
• Document all communications and insurance details accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Inform patients about their insurance benefits, copays, deductibles, and manage appointment scheduling based on authorization status

Required qualifications

• Customer service experience in a healthcare setting
• Experience navigating Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Outlook preferred
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
