Intake and Admissions Coordinator

Job Summary

Facilitating the admission process for psychiatric patients, the full-time Intake and Admissions Coordinator will assess patient needs, coordinate with healthcare providers and insurance companies, and ensure appropriate placements at the Precourt Healing Center while maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

• Promptly respond to healthcare facilities seeking to admit psychiatric patients, ensuring timely review and assessment of requests
• Conduct initial screenings and evaluations for admission requests, maintaining comprehensive patient histories and communicating decisions effectively
• Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-authorizations, while collaborating with various hospital teams to enhance patient care and operational efficiency

Required qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in behavioral health, clinical healthcare, or hospital settings
• 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred
• Knowledge of community resources preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
• Coursework or experience with Medical Terminology preferred
