Intake and Revenue Cycle Manager

Job Summary

To enhance patient access and optimize the referral process, the part-time contractor Intake and Revenue Cycle Manager will manage the transition of patient referrals for Texas and Nevada, ensuring accurate intake, verification, and authorization while eventually overseeing the full revenue cycle operations.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end referral process, ensuring timely contact and accurate documentation for Texas and Nevada patients
• Document and manage the transition from agency to in-house operations, maintaining seamless referral handling
• Collaborate with the offshore revenue cycle team to ensure efficient billing, coding, and accounts receivable processes

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in healthcare patient access or revenue cycle, with at least 2 years focused on intake and prior authorization
• Proven track record of improving referral conversion rates and understanding loss reasons
• Direct experience with outpatient therapy services, specifically in physical, occupational, or speech therapy
• Strong knowledge of authorization-heavy payors and familiarity with Medicaid and commercial insurance plans
• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and data reconciliation, alongside experience with EHR and payor portals
