Job Summary
A company is looking for an Intake Coordinator to provide customer service and support in a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter referrals into the system accurately and timely, verifying completeness of requests
- Notify clinical staff of requests and hospitalizations that require further review
- Process approval determinations and provide customer service regarding authorization requests and claims
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in the healthcare or health plan environment
- Experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Office and/or Epic
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Previous experience in the medical field or health plan preferred
