Job Summary
Receiving inbound calls, faxes, and web requests from providers and clients, the full-time remote Intake Coordinator will initiate and facilitate the authorization process while ensuring compliance with health plan policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Document demographic information in the care management system from various communication channels
- Make outbound calls to follow up on discharge information or request updated clinical information for concurrent review
- Screen inquiries to determine required services for certification and collaborate with internal and external partners
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a high-volume call center or customer support environment
- GED or High School Diploma
- Experience with medical, claims, or collection call centers is a plus
- Medical Terminology Certification is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a plus
