Intake Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Intake Specialist to manage patient referrals and documentation in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately enter referrals and ensure timely communication with referral sources and patients
• Review medical records for compliance and coordinate with community referral sources to facilitate the referral process
• Supervise team members, conduct training, and monitor performance metrics

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred in healthcare or related field
• One (1) year of work-related experience required; additional experience preferred for senior and lead levels
• Experience in healthcare administration, insurance customer service, or related fields
• Proficiency with computers and healthcare software applications
• Understanding of Medicare guidelines and payer policies
