Job Summary

A company is looking for an Intake Specialist to manage patient referrals and ensure compliance with healthcare documentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately enter referrals and communicate with referral sources and patients regarding documentation and financial responsibilities
• Review medical records for compliance and coordinate with community referral sources to facilitate the referral process
• Supervise team members, lead training sessions, and monitor team performance metrics

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
• One year of work-related experience in healthcare administration, financial services, or insurance customer service
• Experience in healthcare organizations or pharmacies that bill insurance or provide medical supplies
• Proficiency with computers and healthcare software applications
• Ability to work independently and manage confidential patient information
