Intake Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Intake Specialist to support patient access to innovative therapy for stroke recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain understanding of coverage policies for vagus nerve stimulation and rehabilitation therapies
• Obtain, organize, and securely store patient medical records from various healthcare providers
• Review clinical documentation for completeness and compliance, while resolving any identified gaps

Required Qualifications

• Combination of relevant education and professional experience
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a medical or healthcare-related field preferred
• Strong understanding of pre-service clearance procedures
• Experience in medical front-office operations and/or pre-service clearance preferred
• Experience handling and reviewing medical records with awareness of HIPAA compliance
