Intake Specialist

Job Summary

To support patient access to care, the remote Intake Specialist will coordinate referrals, review clinical documentation, and ensure accurate service setup while working closely with patients, providers, and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review medical records and payer guidelines to determine patient eligibility and compliance prior to service delivery
• Communicate with patients about financial responsibilities, collect payments, and document interactions accurately
• Collaborate with referral sources and clinical teams to obtain complete documentation and ensure timely care

Required qualifications

• One (1) year of relatable work experience required
• High School Diploma or Associate's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience required
• Experience in management, administrative, clerical, insurance, billing, claims, call center, or customer service preferred
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and healthcare systems
• Ability to work independently while following established procedures and directives
