Job Summary
Serving as a non-clinical first point of contact for Utilization Management intake, the part-time Hybrid Intake Specialist - Arizona will manage authorization requests, collect and verify information, and maintain accurate documentation while working in the office Monday through Thursday and remotely on Fridays.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, document, and route authorization and pre-certification requests according to established workflows
- Collect and verify non-clinical information to initiate requests and ensure completeness of incoming submissions
- Communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders to confirm receipt and clarify administrative details
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 0-1+ years of experience in customer service, call center, healthcare operations, or administrative support preferred
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate multiple applications
- Knowledge of medical claims and coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to learn Utilization Management intake processes
