Job Summary

Serving as a non-clinical first point of contact for Utilization Management intake, the part-time Hybrid Intake Specialist - Arizona will manage authorization requests, collect and verify information, and maintain accurate documentation while working in the office Monday through Thursday and remotely on Fridays.

Key responsibilities
  • Receive, document, and route authorization and pre-certification requests according to established workflows
  • Collect and verify non-clinical information to initiate requests and ensure completeness of incoming submissions
  • Communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders to confirm receipt and clarify administrative details
Required qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 0-1+ years of experience in customer service, call center, healthcare operations, or administrative support preferred
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate multiple applications
  • Knowledge of medical claims and coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to learn Utilization Management intake processes
