Job Summary

A company is looking for an Intake Specialist I NICU.

Key Responsibilities

• Process authorization requests from providers and verify member eligibility, provider network status, and benefit coverage
• Facilitate the authorization of benefits and communicate with providers regarding prior authorization requests
• Maintain knowledge of departmental processes and ensure inquiries are addressed within mandated timeframes

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of one (1) year of clinical and/or insurance experience preferred
• Managed care experience preferred
• Medical Terminology Certificate is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office in a Windows-based environment
