Integrated Absence Claims Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing claims organization, the full-time Integrated Absence Claims Specialist will manage Short-Term Disability claims, conduct interviews with claimants, and review medical records while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with claimants, employers, and medical professionals to gather information regarding claims and leaves
• Collaborate with case managers and consulting physicians to make timely and appropriate claim determinations
• Review complex medical records and perform accurate financial calculations in accordance with company and state guidelines

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of experience in claims, leaves, or customer service
• Experience with disability and/or absence management claims
• Strong mathematical skills for payment calculations
