Integration Architect

Job Summary

Leading the design, development, and implementation of enterprise integration solutions, the full-time remote Integration Architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective system integration supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs program.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable integration architectures aligned with VA modernization initiatives and federal cloud adoption frameworks
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to translate integration requirements into technical solutions
• Define and support API strategies, data exchange patterns, and system interoperability approaches across platforms and applications

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 7 years of experience in software architecture and development
• Proficiency in cloud platforms, specifically VA Enterprise Cloud (AWS GovCloud + Azure Gov)
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, .NET Core, Node.js, and React
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD, and Terraform
