Integration Architect

Job Summary

Supporting a major AI-powered modernization initiative, the remote Integration Architect will design and implement enterprise integration architecture for the Department of Veterans Affairs, focusing on connecting legacy healthcare systems with modern applications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of integration strategies for VA modernization initiatives
• Architect APIs, middleware, and data exchange solutions across enterprise healthcare systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration and support interoperability initiatives

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise integration engineering or architecture
• Experience supporting large-scale federal healthcare or enterprise modernization programs
• Hands-on experience with VistA or MUMPS-based interfaces and API design
• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards including HL7 and FHIR
