Intellectual Property Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Intellectual Property Lawyer to support its in-house legal team on a part-time contract basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on a wide variety of global IP matters, including commercial, licensing, patent, and copyright issues
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements with IP and technology components
• Manage and maintain domestic and international patent portfolios while supporting patentable innovations

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
• Minimum 7+ years of legal experience, primarily in intellectual property
• Strong background in IP issues within commercial transactions
• Prior in-house and law firm experience strongly preferred
