Intellectual Property Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Head Counsel, Intellectual Property.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic initiatives for global trademark portfolio management, enforcement, and brand protection
• Coordinate with engineering leadership and outside patent counsel to identify patentable inventions and submit patents
• Build and lead a team of attorneys and legal professionals handling complex intellectual property matters

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience practicing at a law firm and/or in-house
• Deep knowledge of global trademark and brand enforcement issues and strategies
• Working knowledge of patent law for issue spotting and coordination with business teams
• Management experience with a strong track record of building and leading teams
• Experience with consumer goods, health tech, and digital product ecosystems is desirable
