Job Summary

A company is looking for an Intellectual Property Counsel to support its Legal team in advancing and protecting innovation and portfolio strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage licensing and partnership agreements
  • Conduct freedom-to-operate analyses and assess patent risks for new products
  • Oversee patent application filings and provide legal advice on IP risks and strategies
Required Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to a U.S. state bar
  • Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
  • 5+ years of experience in intellectual property law, including FTO analyses and patent prosecution
  • Experience in a life sciences or related scientific/technical field
  • Demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating complex agreements
