Job Summary
A company is looking for an Intellectual Property Counsel to support its Legal team in advancing and protecting innovation and portfolio strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, and manage licensing and partnership agreements
- Conduct freedom-to-operate analyses and assess patent risks for new products
- Oversee patent application filings and provide legal advice on IP risks and strategies
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to a U.S. state bar
- Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
- 5+ years of experience in intellectual property law, including FTO analyses and patent prosecution
- Experience in a life sciences or related scientific/technical field
- Demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating complex agreements
