Intellectual Property Research Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting legal teams with specialized research, the full-time remote Intellectual Property Research Specialist will deliver high-quality legal research services focused on patents, trademarks, copyrights, and related areas using various electronic research platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth legal and business research utilizing both legal and non-legal information resources
• Synthesize research findings into clear and actionable reports while performing effective reference interviews
• Evaluate and select appropriate information sources and databases to meet diverse research needs

Required Qualifications:

• MLS (Master of Library Science) or equivalent experience in legal research; J.D. preferred
• 5-7 years of professional research experience in a law firm or similar environment
• Strong knowledge of legal and business information sources and online database searching
• Demonstrated experience with Lexis, Westlaw, and other core legal research platforms
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
