Intelligent Automation Lead
Job Summary
Leading a small engineering team, the full-time Intelligent Automation Lead will design, build, and operate an intelligent automation and decision-support capability for a Federal client, focusing on processing high volumes of reports and integrating with existing agency systems remotely, with periodic onsite meetings in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
Key responsibilities
- Design the solution architecture and obtain necessary platform, security, and privacy approvals
- Plan and deliver the capability in quarterly increments, ensuring thorough evaluation before production deployment
- Lead the data and automation engineers, setting standards for code review, testing, and security compliance
Required qualifications
- Eight or more years of experience delivering data, workflow automation, or application solutions for Federal agencies, including three years in applied AI or document intelligence
- Hands-on experience in a Federal authorized environment and familiarity with agency security and authorization processes
- Demonstrated experience designing human-in-the-loop workflows and evaluating model outputs with documented metrics
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, REST APIs, and experience with dashboard or reporting tools
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Federal Public Trust background investigation
