Job Summary
A company is looking for an Interconnection Engineering Lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end generator and large load interconnection processes, ensuring accountability for schedule, risk, and outcomes
- Serve as the primary contact with utilities and stakeholders on interconnection-related matters, building strong working relationships
- Review interconnection study results and collaborate with internal teams on modeling and transmission planning
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience with an IPP, project developer, ISO/RTO, utility, or power systems consulting firm
- Demonstrated experience with interconnection studies, transmission planning, and IBR modeling, particularly in ERCOT
- Strong knowledge of FERC, NERC, and ISO/RTO interconnection requirements and processes
- Hands-on experience with tools such as PSLF, PowerWorld, PSSE, PSCAD, TARA, and ASPEN
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline preferred; equivalent industry experience considered
