Job Summary
Providing technical support to countries, the part-time Intercultural Health Consultant will focus on incorporating intercultural approaches to health services, including training for Indigenous and Afro-descendant communities on sexual and reproductive health and communicable disease prevention.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and coordinate training for diverse audiences on intercultural health approaches
- Support the implementation of the Strategy and Plan of Action on Ethnicity and Health 2019-2025
- Adapt and validate knowledge dialogues methodology for early pregnancy in selected Indigenous communities
Required qualifications
- A university or master's degree in public health, social sciences, or a related health field
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in public health projects, particularly in intercultural health
- Strong interpersonal skills for coordination with multiple partners
- Very good knowledge of English or Spanish, with working knowledge of the other language; knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is an asset
- Experience working with Indigenous and/or Afro-descendant communities is desirable
