Interim Development Director

Job Summary

To provide interim leadership through December 2026, the full-time Interim Director of Development / Chief of Staff will manage fundraising and partnerships, support the Executive Team and Board of Directors, and ensure continuity of external affairs functions in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and execute fundraising strategies, maintain partner relationships, and coordinate proposal development
• Support the Executive Team and Board of Directors by facilitating meetings, preparing agendas, and tracking follow-up tasks
• Lead strategic external communications and presentations to enhance donor engagement and support fundraising efforts

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of fundraising experience with a proven track record of securing six to seven figure grants
• Experience with diverse donors, including philanthropic, corporate, and government sources
• Strong project management skills and experience managing staff and contractors
• Ability to effectively communicate UpTogether's mission and articulate impact data to various audiences
• Experience preparing data-driven presentations and reports for executive and board-level stakeholders
