Interim Director of Treasury

Job Summary

Providing strategic and operational leadership, the fully remote Interim Director of Treasury will oversee treasury operations, ensuring liquidity management and optimizing cash flow during a six-month contract with a higher education organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead treasury operations, including cash positioning, capital markets activity, and banking relationships
• Develop cash flow forecasts and manage the debt portfolio, ensuring compliance and monitoring obligations
• Shape investment strategies and collaborate with finance teams to align treasury strategies with organizational priorities

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Director of Treasury or in a senior treasury leadership role
• Direct experience within higher education (college, university, or affiliated system)
• Deep expertise in cash management, debt financing, and investment oversight
• Strong understanding of capital markets and treasury compliance requirements
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in an interim or transformation environment
