Interim General Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Interim General Counsel with nonprofit experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Build legal infrastructure and lead risk management, compliance, and ethics initiatives
• Develop and deliver legal training to non-legal staff and leadership
• Provide contract oversight and manage compliance with 501(c)(3) regulations and IRS rules

Required Qualifications

• Experience in a legal advisory role, preferably within a nonprofit organization
• Familiarity with nonprofit regulations and compliance requirements
• Ability to work hands-on in a dynamic environment
• Experience in developing training programs for non-legal staff
• Availability for a commitment of 30-40 hours per week for 6-12 months
