Job Summary
Leading the systems and practices for effective grantmaking, the full-time Interim Grants Operations Director will manage the grants lifecycle, partnership stewardship, and team leadership in a remote role, ensuring compliance and timely resource movement.
Key responsibilities
- Continuously improve the grants lifecycle to ensure timely fund disbursement and compliance
- Support partnership stewardship by documenting relationship history and operationalizing partner expectations
- Lead and develop the Grants Operations team, fostering a culture of care and continuous improvement
Required qualifications
- Substantial experience in grants management or operations, preferably in philanthropy or international development
- Deep knowledge of the grants lifecycle, compliance, and risk management
- Experience designing partner-centered processes in collaboration with finance and legal/compliance
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams with a coaching management style
- Familiarity with grassroots movements in the Global South and commitment to equitable philanthropy
