Interim Nonprofit Accounting Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Interim Not For Profit Accounting Manager to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Oversee billing and financial reporting for state, federal, and local contracts/grants
• Lead audit preparation and maintain processes for internal controls and compliance with nonprofit accounting standards

Qualifications:

• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced nonprofit environment
• Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks-type systems) and payroll systems (Rippling is a plus)
• Prior experience in nonprofit accounting, grant/contract billing, and audit preparation preferred
• Ability to translate financial information for non-financial staff
