Intermediate Systems Engineer

Job Summary

Providing remote infrastructure support for NIH NIAID technologies, the full-time Intermediate Systems Engineer (Cyber Infrastructure) will coordinate additions and changes to network hardware and operating systems while ensuring operational efficiency and troubleshooting network issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform changes to network hardware and operating systems, including configuration, installation, and testing of new technologies
• Support day-to-day operations of network systems, monitor performance, and resolve operational problems
• Troubleshoot network issues at both physical and logical levels, ensuring adherence to communication protocols

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in IT infrastructure support, systems, and applications
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field
• Active Public Trust or higher security clearance
• Strong supervisory skills in managing system configuration and operations
• Experience with network hardware and operating systems, including installation and testing
