Job Summary

Supporting a public sector internal audit team, the full-time Internal Auditor - Virginia Licensed will assist with audit planning, risk assessments, and compliance activities in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and maintaining an annual risk-based internal audit plan
  • Perform internal audits to evaluate financial, operational, and compliance controls
  • Prepare audit workpapers, findings, recommendations, and quarterly audit reports
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field
  • 1-5 years of accounting, auditing, or financial analysis experience
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and auditing practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Willingness to learn through on-the-job training
