Internal Communications Director

Job Summary

To enhance understanding of critical technology initiatives, the full-time salaried Internal Communications Director will develop and manage strategic communications related to technology and data governance, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence, while working remotely in Texas with occasional onsite attendance required.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement institution-wide internal communications strategies focused on technology and data initiatives
• Create and manage communications plans to ensure leadership support and understanding of technology adoption and data strategies
• Oversee writing and editing of various communications materials, ensuring clarity and adherence to style guidelines

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field; Master's Degree preferred
• Seven years of experience in public relations, communications, writing/editing, or a related field, including three years in a lead/project management role
• Five years of required experience with a Master's degree
• Successful completion of specific leadership programs may substitute for supervisory experience
• Ability to pass a pre-employment skills test as required by Human Resources
