Job Summary
Working part-time on an on-call rotation, the International Health, Safety, and Security Duty Officer will manage initial responses to health, safety, or security incidents for university-related international travel, ensuring timely communication and support in a fully remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Handles and documents initial requests for health or safety assistance from international travelers
- Conducts intake interviews, assesses risk, and triages requests for further response
- Monitors news and intelligence feeds for potential impacts on university travelers and provides operational support during critical events
Required qualifications
- High School diploma required; MA or BA with relevant experience preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in international risk assessment or crisis response
- Minimum of 3 years working with students, faculty, or similar travelers
- Ability to remain calm in crisis situations and handle sensitive matters with discretion
- Experience living and working in diverse languages or cultures is a plus
