Job Summary
Working part-time on an on-call rotation, the International Health, Safety, and Security Duty Officer will serve as the frontline responder for health, safety, and security incidents involving university-related international travel, providing critical support and communication during emergencies in a fully remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Handles and documents initial responses to health or safety assistance requests from travelers
- Conducts intake interviews to assess risk and triages requests for further action
- Monitors news and intelligence feeds for potential impacts on university travelers and provides operational support during critical events
Required qualifications
- High School diploma required; MA or BA with relevant experience preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in international risk assessment or crisis response
- A minimum of 3 years working with students, faculty, or similar travelers
- Demonstrated ability to form trusting relationships and communicate effectively
- Experience living and working in diverse cultures or countries is a plus
