Job Summary

A company is looking for an interpreter to relay oral information between speakers of two different languages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Render messages accurately between languages, maintaining content and context
• Facilitate effective communication between parties that do not speak the same language
• Act as a cultural and linguistic resource to contribute to successful outcomes

Qualifications:

• Possess native fluency in English and the requested language
• Understand regional accents and linguistic styles
• Ability to interpret accurately in consecutive, simultaneous, and sight translation modes
• Strong cultural awareness and ability to intervene as an intercultural mediator
• Completion of an interpreting course and preferred national certification
