InterSystems IRIS Database Administrator
Job Summary
Supporting a large federal government healthcare modernization project, the full-time InterSystems IRIS Database Administrator will manage the administration, performance, and availability of mission-critical InterSystems IRIS and Cach database environments remotely while collaborating with various teams to ensure data migration continuity and EHRM site-conversion readiness.
Key responsibilities:
- Administer, configure, and troubleshoot InterSystems IRIS and Cach database environments across Development, Test, Staging, and Production
- Monitor and ensure the consistency of data transmissions and backups while performing database capacity planning and performance tuning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and maintain accurate operational documentation and support production deployments
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, with 5+ years of hands-on database administration experience
- Demonstrated experience with InterSystems Cach and/or InterSystems IRIS, including operations, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Practical Linux administration experience and knowledge of Windows Server environments
- Experience with database backup/recovery, high-availability environments, and formal change management practices
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex database and operational issues
